Quinta normal park

Hi, this time I will talk you about a place I really love... its name is Quinta Normal, and is a park near by my house where I love to go. Is a really big park, probably the bigger one that I know in my city, and it haves a lot of different spots. The park is one of the older and prettiest of the city, and inside it have a museum of contemporary art, a trains museum, the science and technology museum, different sports courts, a botanical garden, between another things.
One of the places I like more inside the park is a little lagoon, where you can ride a boat and see the ducks that live there. When I was a child I used to go there with my family and pass a nice afternoon
next to the water.
Another place I love in park Quinta Normal is the greenhouse... a big place made with glass and iron, where there are a lot of different plants, flowers and trees! I really like to go there and look at all the forms and colors... really cool!
Well... that's all for today... chao!

gay mariage

Hellooo again, this time I will write about a subject that really interest me: the gay marriage. Although homosexuality is common to mankind for centuries, the same-sex marriage is illegal in a lot of countrys, being legal today only in 19.
The first country where gay marriage was legalized is Holland, where it becomes legal in 2001, then Belgium and then Spain. Here in Latin America it is legal only in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. In Chile it is illegal, despite a huge social movement in favor of it.I really can't believe that society still can't accept that type of subjects. Each person have a different way of love, and each one must be free to choose with who wants to share his life.

The fair

Hi everybody, here i'm again... today i'm happy beacause is a pretty sunny day, and finally i can stay some time at my home and be relax. This morning, after taking my breakfast, i have visited a fair near of my house. Is a fair placed at the streets Esperanza with Portales, in a quartier called Yungay, in the downtown of the city.
I really love going to the fair, is an activity that i enjoy a lot. I'm my old neighborhood, i used to go almost every week end to a fair placed in the street Arrieta with Vespucio. That one is a very big fair, and there you can find every thing... from old and strange objects (furniture, doll body parts, door handles, clothes buttons) to shirts and jackets, passing by books, movies, shoes, tools and the most delicious and fresh fruits and vegetables. The fair I visited today is smaller than that other one, but there you can still find a lot of things, and I really love this one also, because in that quartier there's a lot of immigrants from other places of latin america, as colombians, peruvians and haitians. The fair is a good place to apreciate the diversity of the neighborhood, you can see all that people from diferent places selling their tipical food and sharing between them.
Well, it was an exciting morning, but also a little exhausting one, so I will leave you to take a little nap hehehe... kisses!

Picture

Hi everyone! It's been a while I didn't wrote anything here... It has been a very busy weeks, due to university exams. Some times life goes on realy slow and quiet, and some other times, like this last weeks, it goes fast and seems to run and run without stopping, like an endless caravan... Well, anyway, apropos of caravans, this time I want to talk you about a beauty picture, part of a serie called “Caravana Gitana” (“Gypsy Caravan”). The name of the picture is “Rumbo a Santa Maria del Mar”, and is taken by the french photographer Jacques Leonard, in the year 1963.
I really love this picture, as many other of this photographer, but I specially feel attracted for this one since the first time I saw it. The photo shows a group of gypsy people, laughing, sharing and doing “palmas” (clapping), and in the center of the picture there's a little girl who is dancing. What I like from this photo is principaly the athmosphere that we can perceive in the moment when it was taken. I also like the expression of the girl, a mixture between joy and serenity, and I love to look at all the persons inside of the picture, I can spend a lot of time watching their faces and their clothes, and imagining their history.
Jacques Leonard, aslo known as El Payo Chac, was a french photographer, who fall in love with a gypsy girl and left his place to live with her and her people, in a nomad way of life, as usual between gypsys. This allowed him to make a visual record of this people and their customs, something that has not has until that moment, and that allows us to know about that culture, today in process of extinction due to global capitalism.
